sketch book

Here are a lot of sketch's I have done. As you probably will notice, I like doing highlights with color pencil.

This one after I finished, I went over with color pencils.

The hair, was fun on this one.

This, is the only one I did without a reference photo.

The next four, I think turn'd out pretty good.

This one sorta reminds me of  my cousin.

Does it look like Audrey Hepburn?

I like this one, but there is a problem with the neck.

I love how this one and the next turned out. Although I did have problems with the ink going on the next page.

This is the first boy I did in this book.

The hair is totally  unrealistic on the left side.

A painting of Grace Kelly

I am supper into one color paintings right now. I was browsing Pinterest yesterday and I came across this photo of Grace Kelly. I really liked it so I used it as a reference photo for my painting.

Reference photo, graphed, and all the different values marked.

My drawing of the reference photo, graphed, and the values drawn out.
This is the finished result.

I was planning on taking whole bunch of pictures of how the painting looked when I add the values one at a time, but I got supper involved with the painting and forgot to take more pictures.

It was a blast painting Grace Kelly. She was so much easier then the first one color painting I did.

I plan on painting a guy next.

Some more sketches

Here are a some more sketches and also a painting or two.
It is supper exciting to look at how far someone has come after looking at their art when they first started.

I used a reference photo of Audrey Hepburn for this sketch

This was the newest sketch that I did. I am very impressed how it turned out. I am beginning to figure out how to draw Men and boys very slowly but surely.
My favorite male drawing I have done so far.

This painting is done in acrylic paint. The reason for doing this painting was to look ate the different values in the picture I was painting.

This was one of those inspiration moments, where you are just drawing and then decide to paint it.
I was working on blending the colors and finding the right skin tone and making sure my facial proportions were in the right spots.

A few sketches and three paintings

Here is what I have been working on lately.

I was inspired by Deb Weiers to draw this piece. She was a guest teacher in my online art class.
This is a 5min or less sketches that I have been doing most recently.

For this portrait sketch I was wanting to succeed in making the face look more like a man's face. Men's faces are very difficult for me to draw. I have been trying to work on them.

In this portrait sketch I was trying to make my hair more realistic, and my smile correct.

This is my other 5min sketch.

I have started painting hearts on small pieces of papers and putting encouraging words on the front of the paintings. I used regular acrylic paint for all three of them.

That sums up what I have been working on lately.
